DoD and DHS Customers Adopting SENTRY Chem-Bio Sensor Monitoring System PDF Print E-mail

ENSCO, Springfield, Va., developer of detection solutions, has announced that SENTRY, its chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) early warning and interactive decision support system, is being installed in four DoD and DHS sites within the National Capital region. ENSCO’s SENTRY, a system for large building compound security, has been operational at the Pentagon since 2002.

Providing an integrated view of data from sensors, alarms and environmental factors, SENTRY enables responders to make more informed decisions in the face of a catastrophic event, helping to save lives and to minimize collateral damage. The system helps direct medical and fire personnel identify the safest escape routes; determine where and when to execute decontamination; decide when to initiate collective protective strategies; and stage evacuation plans for maximum efficiency in the event of a chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear event.
