Public Health Seeks Input on H1N1 Preparedness PDF Print E-mail

With most of the winter flu season safely in the past, the Otter Tail County Public Health Department is hoping for some feedback from county residents. While the department prepared for the outbreak of the H1N1 flu virus as well as it could, the effects of the virus, both in terms of actual infections and in terms of public concern, made for bigger workloads and more duties for department employees.

Now, they want to know how they can improve their services for future flu outbreaks.

To this end, the department has set up a link to an H1N1 response survey on the main page of the Otter Tail County Web site www.co.otter-tail.mn.us).

“This is an opportunity for people in our community to give us feedback about how we did in handling the H1N1 epedmic,” said Public Health Director Diane Thorson. “Maybe there are things people would have liked us to do that we didn’t even think about ... We really want to hear from people.”
