SRI International, Menlo Park, Calif., an independent nonprofit research and development institute, has announced it is partnering with V.C.O.R.E. (Virtual Command Operations & Response Environments) Solutions, Bethpage, NY, a developer of solutions for homeland security, emergency preparedness, and rapid response environments, to offer security technology solutions that will allow first responder organizations to communicate more effectively during emergency situations.

V.C.O.R.E. Solutions provides fourDscape, a real-world solution for homeland security, emergency preparedness, and rapid response environments. fourDscape offers an interoperable virtual four-dimensional visualization platform. This platform helps to manage day to day and/or mission critical assets for authorities responsible for securing and protecting infrastructure, borders, ports, transportation hubs, etc. In addition, it enables incident commanders, police and fire personnel, and first responders, as well as security personnel and property management with vastly expanded awareness of developing situations in wide open border terrain, dense urban areas, or inside critical infrastructures.
