Mohamed Telab

Mohamed Telab joined the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in 2010 and is currently assigned to the Office of Infrastructure Protection (IP) where he serves as the Protective Security Advisor to the New York City area. He focuses on the assessment and reduction of risk to critical infrastructure by working with public and private sector partners. Mr. Telab is also a reserve officer with the United States Coast Guard (U.S.C.G.) where he serves as the Enforcement Division Deputy at Sector New York’s Maritime Law Enforcement Division. Mr. Telab’s earlier experiences include positions at the New York City Police Department’s (NYPD) Counter- Terrorism Bureau and the United States (U.S.) Army, where he served as a commissioned officer. During his tenure with the U.S. Army, he held a variety of staff and leadership positions, including some while deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
