Petty Officer 2nd Class Diolanda Caballero was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She graduated with high honors from Foothill High School in 2017. She comes from a family of Honduran volunteer firefighters and felt the call to serve after hearing her parents talk about their search and rescue experiences. After a six month stint, she joined the U.S. Coast Guard.
After graduating from Coast Guard Basic Training in 2018, she was assigned to USCGC Sea Devil (WPB 87368). She served on the Sea Devil for two years and a half years doing submarine escorts before attending the Defence Information School in Fort Meade, Maryland.
Diolanda has served as a public affairs specialist at the Thirteenth Coast Guard District Public Affairs Detachment Astoria, Oregon and the First Coast Guard District in Boston. She has deployed all over the Pacific in support of several Coast Guard missions. She deployed on the USCGC Polar Star (WAGB 10) and captured imagery of ice breaking and international partnerships in Antarctica. In support of the United States Into-Pacific Command, she deployed with USCGC Midgett (WMSL 757).
She is enrolled at Arizona State University earning her Bachelors in Technical Communication with a minor in Media Analysis. In her free time, she likes to be outdoors with her Pomeranian named Bobo and her husband Devon.
