Robert B. Dix, Jr.
Robert B. Dix is a results-oriented leader with over 30 years of experience in senior executive roles within both industry and government. He is notably recognized for his extensive expertise in public policy issues management across federal, state, and local levels. His background includes a focus on cybersecurity risk management, critical infrastructure protection and resilience, supply chain risk management, full and open competition in public procurement, among other areas. He has demonstrated a proven record of strategic planning and value delivery to support mission objectives.
Mr. Dix is committed to fostering partnerships and developing solutions that enhance communication, coordination, and collaboration to address global challenges related to national and economic security.
Currently, Mr. Dix serves as the President of RBD Associates and previously provided his expertise as the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Public Policy at the Information Technology Acquisition Advisory Council (IT-AAC). Before this, he spent nearly 12 years at Juniper Networks, where he built and led a global government affairs team. In this role, he also represented Juniper in various industry organizations and public-private partnerships, including the Information Technology Sector Coordinating Council (IT-SCC), the Partnership for Critical Infrastructure Security (PCIS), the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC), and the Enduring Security Framework (ESF). Additionally, he served on Cybersecurity Committees for AFCEA and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Dix is a two-time Fed 100 honoree and was awarded the FCW Industry Eagle Award in 2010.
His earlier career includes service as the Staff Director for the Subcommittee on Technology, Information Policy, Intergovernmental Relations, and the Census of the Government Reform & Oversight Committee during the 108th Congress of the United States House of Representatives. He also served as an elected member of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and the Vienna Town Council.
Mr. Dix remains actively engaged as a community volunteer, including serving as a showcase travel women’s basketball coach at the national level.
