Tamara Hutchinson and Gary Tomasulo

Tamara Hutchinson has over 30 years of experience in the Intelligence Community. Throughout her career, she has held a broad range of leadership positions in intelligence integration, program management, risk analysis and threat assessment, and state, local, tribal, and private sector information sharing efforts. Tamara joined the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in November 2004. She currently serves as the Senior Counselor to the Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) and the Director, Private Sector Engagement, leading I&A’s efforts to facilitate intelligence and information sharing with the private sector through several public-private programs, partnerships, and engagements with corporate security leaders and community-based leaders to drive intelligence and information sharing and increase awareness on threats. Tamara is the DHS Co-Chair of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Domestic Security Alliance Council, a strategic partnership between the U.S. government and over 650 private sector companies to enhance collaboration and provide timely, effective information sharing on threats to U.S. private industry. Prior to this assignment, she served as the Director of the Interagency Threat Assessment and Coordination Group housed within the National Counterterrorism Center. She provided key leadership in ensuring bidirectional information sharing between the Intelligence Community and state, local, tribal, and private sector organizations. Tamara holds a Master of Computer Resources and Information Management degree; is a graduate of the Naval Post Graduate School’s Executive Leaders Program, and the Foreign Service Institute’s National Security Executive Leaders Program. Tamara is certified by the Office of Personnel Management as a Senior Executive Service Leader. || Gary Tomasulo is Vice President of Corporate Security at American Airlines. He leads the airline’s corporate security team and represents American Airlines security-related interests and priorities at the local, state, federal, and international levels. Gary joined American in 2019 after 28 years of service in the U.S. Coast Guard in operational, policy, and legal leadership positions. Most recently, Gary was Managing Director of Corporate Security and Chief Security Officer, where he oversaw the airline’s domestic and international security programs, investigations; fraud and revenue protection; operations and crew security; and regulatory compliance and border security. Prior to joining the airline, Gary served as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Border and Transportation Security at the National Security Council. He was also Director of Western Hemisphere Affairs on the National Security Council during the Bush and Obama Administrations. Earlier in his career, Gary served as a Foreign Policy and Trade Advisor to U.S. Senator Mike DeWine from Ohio. Gary is on the Board of Directors for Hostage US, Homeland Security Experts Group, and U.S. Department of State Overseas Security Advisory Council. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University School of Law, a Master of Business Administration degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the United States Coast Guard Academy.
