PCI, LeapFrog Solutions, and Carousel30 Combine to Form Yes&

Three established D.C.-area marketing and communications firms announced today that they are combining to form a substantially larger new agency. Yes& takes its name from the principle of improvisational theater under which performers always seek to accept a premise (“yes”) and build upon it (“&”).

PCI, known for video, events, branding, and communications strategy, has been in operation for more than 32 years. LeapFrog Solutions has 20 years’ experience providing outreach and design particularly to federal, state, and local government clients. Carousel30 has focused on digital marketing and website development for almost 14 years. Together as Yes&, the team will muster about 55 seasoned advertising, marketing, branding, and creative production professionals.

Yes& will offer an impressively broad range of services. Instead of being forced to coordinate the efforts of multiple niche providers, clients can access an optimal mix of paid, earned, shared, and owned media from one source. As a mid-size agency, Yes& will maintain the agility of its smaller forebears. Robert W. (Bob) Sprague, formerly owner of PCI, will be president & CEO of Yes&. Lisa Martin, founder of LeapFrog Solutions, and Greg Kihlström, founder of Carousel30, will serve as executive vice president, Business Development, and senior vice president, Digital, respectively.

“We are very excited about what we can now offer to all of our clients,” said Sprague. “Yes& not only has a portfolio that is more comprehensive than any of our firms could offer before, it has an agile approach to project discovery and planning that will help all of our campaigns and products deliver the results our clients need.”

Many small agencies find their growth capped at a level that leaves them vulnerable to the loss of large accounts or key people, while roll-ups have failed to achieve consistent quality or stability.

“We looked long and hard to find partners that shared our values and culture, that were staffed by top-notch people, and that had capabilities our clients wanted included in their solutions,” added Sprague. “It’s not growth for growth’s sake: it’s an evolution that will provide opportunities for our people and substantially greater results for our clients.”
