Akima Subsidiary Secures $2M DHS CBP Records Management Contract

Akima Data Management LLC has been awarded a two-year, $2.06 million contract to support U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Information and Technology (OIT) Records and Information Management (RIM) Program.

The 8(a) sole source contract tasks Akima with providing comprehensive support to the RIM program, which ensures the public has access to information created, stored, shared, and utilized in support of the CBP mission.

Akima Data Management, a subsidiary of Akima Corporation, is a strategic partner for comprehensive technology solutions, offering expertise in cybersecurity, enterprise IT, cloud computing, data analytics, and program management. The company’s service portfolio spans network operations, application development, risk management framework implementation, threat analysis, and cloud migration support.

The contract award reflects CBP’s continued investment in modernizing its information management capabilities as the agency handles vast amounts of data in support of border security operations.
