Xavier Morales Appointed as Chief Patrol Agent for Ramey Sector

Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol Carla Provost announced today the appointment of Xavier A. Morales as Chief Patrol Agent of Ramey Sector.

Morales, from Lares, Puerto Rico, brings 24 years of combined U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) experience into his new position.

Chief Morales entered on duty with the U.S. Border Patrol in the El Paso Sector, El Paso Station on August 24, 1994, as a member of Border Patrol Academy Class 272. In December 1995, he transferred to the San Juan, Puerto Rico, Immigration and Naturalization Service District as an Immigration Inspector, then in December 2000 returned to the Border Patrol, where he held various leadership positions.

Chief Morales served as a Special Operations Supervisor and Assistant Chief Patrol Agent at Ramey Sector. He completed a successful field command tour as the Patrol Agent in Charge of the West Palm Beach Station in Miami Sector. In September 2016, Chief Morales was promoted to Deputy Chief Patrol Agent of Ramey Sector.

Before joining the Border Patrol, Chief Morales served with the U.S. Army and as an officer with the Puerto Rico Police Department. On August 20, 2010, he graduated from the School of Police Staff and Command at the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety.
