Detroit Metro Airport safety protocols under fire

The Free Press reported Friday that passengers and people on the ground in Detroit may have been put in danger when the plane landed and proceeded directly to a gate at the McNamara Terminal, where passengers deplaned and luggage was unloaded, instead of going to a remote location at the airport where both could have been screened for additional explosives.
U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra ranking Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, said pilots should not be allowed to make such a choice.
