InfoZen Wins $200M Contract to Support Modernization of USCIS

InfoZen, a leader in managed cloud services and provider of DevOps and Agile Software Development for the public sector, has been awarded a $208 million contract from the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Office of Information Technology (OIT).

The Support Platform Engineering and DevOps Integration (SPEDI) aims to increase efficiency and security through innovatively applying agile, DevOps and cloud; to produce higher quality services and products at a lower cost.

“We are delighted to have been selected as the prime contractor on the SPEDI contract as we are laser-focused on the agency’s goal to transform IT systems delivery through our DevOps experience, agility and commitment to the customer mission,” said Raj Ananthanpillai, InfoZen’s chairman and CEO.

InfoZen will assist the USCIS Office of Information Technology (OIT) to provide information technology expertise, strategic vision and tactical implementation to enable USCIS to deliver effective, efficient, and secure immigration services and products.

An essential element of providing these services is providing support for the migration of the USCIS application development methodology from a traditional waterfall process to an agile environment and from a silo-based development-deploy-support structure to an Agile Methodology and DevOps framework. These frameworks require cloud services that are virtualized, scalable, cost effective and utilize DevOps practices that emphasize collaborative teaming between all disciplines involved in the cradle-to-grave software lifecycle.

Under SPEDI, InfoZen will deliver enterprise Infrastructure Engineering, Operations and Maintenance, and Security Assessment services for all systems and applications in support of the agency’s mission.

InfoZen will also provide expertise in adoption of new and emerging technologies operating within Agile and DevOps frameworks in cloud environments to produce secure, efficient operations with added automation, and the ability to measure cost-savings and service improvements for all mission users.
