Dewberry Receives Another FEMA Construction Task Order

Dewberry has received a third task order under the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Logistics Construction Support Contract (LCSC) to monitor the repairs and new construction of up to 600 houses on Saipan and Tinian Islands located in the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands after the islands were hit by category 5 Super Typhoon Yutu in October 2018.

The firm will monitor the repairs and new construction of approximately 600 homes under the most recent task order, as well as establish a field office in the CNMI to support the task order. The construction monitoring task order is expected to last for one year with options to extend the contract for two additional years.

Under Dewberry’s first two task orders, the firm assisted with the development of executable operational plans for providing disaster housing within affected areas and conducted 1,050 housing assessments on the islands. Dewberry also prepared standard concept plans for one, two, and three bedroom houses that factored in regional and cultural elements, while withstanding a 195-mile-per-hour wind rating.
