In 2014, the United States Digital Service (USDS) and the Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) launched a competition to develop a certification program aimed at improving the capabilities of contracting specialists in acquiring digital services. This initiative gave birth to the Digital IT Acquisition Professional Program (DITAP), which has since trained hundreds of professionals and continues to expand rapidly.
DITAP is an open-source curriculum that allows for continuous updates and improvements. In line with this spirit of innovation, USDS is undertaking a curriculum refresh to incorporate new, engaging case study and scenario-driven learning materials. To achieve this, USDS is hosting a Challenge.gov prize competition to crowdsource the best case studies from both public and private sector participants. This approach aims to bring fresh perspectives and realistic challenges that practitioners face in the field.
