NATIONAL POLICE WEEK: CBP Hits the Pavement for Memorial 5K

The National Police Week 5K drew 2,135 entrants who ran and walked the Washington, D.C., course Saturday at the launch of the memorial week to honor law enforcement who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.

The race winner was Denzel Ramirez, 35, of Arlington, Va., with a time of 16:10. The top woman was Carly Martz, 25, of Alexandria, Va., with a time of 20:16.

The field included a contingent of Customs and Border Protection agents, officers, staffers and Explorers.
