DHS Officials to Share Resilience Priorities at 7th Annual Public-Private Partnership Conference

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator Brock Long, and other DHS officials will share disaster preparedness, response, and recovery priorities during the 7th Annual Building Resilience through Private-Public Partnerships Conference July 24-25, 2018.
As the recently released FEMA strategic plan expresses, preparing, responding, and recovering from catastrophic disasters requires a cross-sector approach. In 2017, we were all reminded of the devastation natural and human-made disasters can bring and the imperative need for preparedness. The 7th Annual Building Resilience through Private-Public Partnerships Conference will engage partners across sectors in this important national conversation. Conference participants will be asked to examine best practices among all sectors coming out of the 2017 disaster season, and hear directly from senior DHS leadership about the Department’s work with the private sector to build a culture of resilience.
