Man and Machine in Harmony as SE Solutions Rebrands as Steampunk

Technical consulting specialist, SE Solutions, is rebranding as “Steampunk.” After about a year of significant investment in the company, including an expansion in new leadership, rollout of new capabilities, and establishment of a new growth model, Steampunk represents a significant milestone in a transformation to an employee ownership model for the company – and a signal of expansion into new markets.

Several of Steampunk’s new leadership team were recently leaders at companies like Accenture, Accenture Federal, DNC/ASRC, and GDIT.  Additionally, some from the new team had also been leaders at Agilex prior to Accenture’s acquisition of the company in 2015.  Agilex and SE were two of the small businesses who supported and actively participated in the Government Technology and Services Coalition (GTSC) in the very early stages of the Coalition.

The new leadership team joined SE Solutions to launch a new company brand, with a culture as a change agent in the federal space, and to expand the company’s capabilities and client base, building on the Homeland Security business that SE has built over 16 years. Steampunk’s new focus will expand its presence in Homeland Security, and will add broader coverage of Civilian, Federal Health and DoD agencies.

According to Chief Marketing Officer, Robbe Pearson, “Steampunk is a name chosen to convey creativity, technical depth, and a human connection with all of our employees, partners, clients, and communities. One of our most prominent values is ‘People at the Core.’  Steampunk symbolizes a collision of humans with technology that we believe will stand out among our peers in the industry.  You’ll notice a new tagline as well, ‘DESIGN. DISRUPT. REPEAT.’ – a powerful phrase that represents how we solve our clients’ greatest challenges using an integrated human-centered design approach in everything we do – both for our clients and in the way we run our business.”

Steampunk told Homeland Security Today that it intends to maintain an active affiliation with GTSC going forward just as SE and Agilex did – and drive impactful results for government partners across the Homeland Security mission.
