Coast Guard Foundation Supports ‘Moving with the Military’ Helping USCG Family in Need

Moving with the Military is a home improvement and lifestyle series dedicated to helping military families turn a house into a home. More than a home improvement series, the series shares what it’s like to be a military family – the trials and the triumphs. The goal is to give America a glimpse into the sacrifices military families make every day. The Moving with the Military team designs and decorates spaces to surprise military families as a thank you for their sacrifice and service. They work to bridge the civilian/military divide, empower military spouses and improve the quality of life and wellbeing of military families.

In the latest episode, the team takes on their biggest renovation yet for a Coast Guard family going through trying times. The Coast Guard Foundation was one of many organizations that provided support for the project. Moving with the Military was created by Maria Reed, an Army wife from Texas and the current 2019 Armed Forces Insurance (AFI) ARMY Spouse of the Year. Maria partnered with Jessica Manfre, the 2019 AFI U.S. Coast Guard Military Spouse of the Year to make this project a reality.

The special episode will also be available on Moving with the Military’s website, Farm and Ranch TV and YouTube.

For 50 years, the Coast Guard Foundation has honored heroes, empowered families and supported those who protect our nation as members of the United States Coast Guard. The Foundation provides college scholarships to enlisted members, their spouses and their children, scholarships and support for families of Coast Guard members lost in the line of duty, and support for morale programs, including funding recreation, exercise and family-oriented facilities.
