A Secret Service agent who served on President Trump protective detail on his recent trip to Europe has died from a stroke suffered in Scotland on Sunday.
The Secret Service said today that Special Agent Nole E. Remagen passed away on Tuesday in Scotland. His body was being flown today via U.S. Air Force military airlift to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
“Special Agent Remagen’s repatriation to the United States represents the return of a fallen Secret Service Special Agent who exemplified the core values of the Secret Service – Justice, Duty, Courage, Honesty and Loyalty,” the agency said.
“The Secret Service extends our heartfelt appreciation for the support received from all of our partners in the military, law enforcement, and medical communities, here in the United States and in Scotland. You have all treated Special Agent Remagen as one of your own, and for that we are eternally grateful.”
Remagen, a 19-year Secret Service veteran, leaves behind his wife and two young children.
