Don’t Be the Weakest Link: NCSC National Supply Chain Integrity Month Events

The National Counterintelligence and Security Center works with its partners to assess and mitigate the activities of foreign intelligence entities and other adversaries who attempt to compromise the supply chains of our government and industry. These adversaries exploit supply chain vulnerabilities to steal America’s intellectual property, corrupt our software, surveil our critical infrastructure, and carry out other malicious activities. They infiltrate trusted suppliers and vendors to target equipment, systems, and information used every day by the government, businesses, and individuals.

The cost to our nation comes not only in lost innovation, jobs, and economic advantage, but also in reduced U.S. military strength. During National Supply Chain Integrity Month, NCSC works to raise awareness about supply chain threats, while providing resources to mitigate risks.

Here are public events for National Supply Chain Integrity Month:

On April 16, 2019, NCSC Director William Evanina is scheduled to participate in a panel discussion on the national security implications of 5G implementation at INSA’s “Spring Summit: Managing the Evolving Cyber Landscape.” For details, see: https://www.insaonline.org/event/cyber-symposium

On April 23, 2019, NCSC’s Joyce Corell is scheduled to participate in a panel discussion on securing the software supply chain at the 8th International Conference on Cyber Engagement sponsored by the Atlantic Council. For details, see: https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/icce

On May 1, 2019, NCSC’s Joyce Corell is scheduled to participate in a luncheon and panel discussion on supply chain sponsored by the American Bar Association.
