The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has purchased 100 additional passenger screening systems from L3Harris Technologies. The ProVision® 2 passenger systems will be deployed at airports throughout the United States.
The ProVision 2 system is a scanner that uses software to screen passengers at the checkpoint. The ProVision family was first introduced in 2009. Nearly 1,000 ProVision systems (both ProVision and ProVision 2) have already been deployed nationwide.
Todd Silvestri, Vice President, Product & Program Development for Security & Detection Systems at L3Harris said the company works to “enable its products and technology roadmap to align to TSA’s security mission”.
