Homeland Security Today Launches Career Center

Homeland Security Today, the nation’s leading news and analysis site for homeland security, today launched their comprehensive job center for professionals in the public and private sector to seek new opportunities and build a mission-oriented career.

“The Department of Homeland Security and other federal, state, and local agencies are looking for thousands of border patrol, ICE, cyber, IT, and other professionals to help the nation with its mission. HSToday’s career center facilitates connecting exceptional candidates to their next opportunity, assists transitioning military to continue the mission, and introduces mission-oriented careers to those interested in supporting America,” said Kristina Tanasichuk, CEO and Executive Editor.

In addition to providing weekly newsletters on all topics homeland security, the Homeland Security Today site hosts a complete suite of free services for both candidates and employers. The site is supported by a bi-weekly jobs newsletter that highlights new postings, the companies that place them, and articles relevant to job searches in homeland security, veteran transition, and opportunities in the field. Additionally, HSToday hosts a Facebook page and Twitter feed to announce and advertise new jobs.

“The job board is a win-win for our growing company. We now have access to a much broader range of candidates from across the country – including skilled veterans – already familiar with the complexities of sustaining the homeland security mission. The job board helps us advertise nationally for critical positions to support our clients’ missions,” said Philip T. Miller, Vice President, Law Enforcement & Judiciary Programs, Procentix.

Members of the Government Technology & Services Coalition, contractors to the federal government in homeland and national security who support the nonprofit Coalition and HSToday, receive featured listings. In addition to public sector postings, companies offer a complete range of jobs from security directors to cyber and IT professionals, to polygraphers and border security positions with excellent salaries and benefits.

“Our work in security requires a wide range of security skills – from background investigations to polygraph examinations – this resource gives our small business an edge to connect with incredibly qualified candidates in a short period of time,” said Diane McCain, CEO, Potomac Management Solutions.

HSToday welcomes employers and candidates to review the site, upload their job openings or resumes, and sign up for the bi-weekly announcements at www.HSToday.us/jobs.

The Government Technology & Services Coalition purchased Homeland Security Today and relaunched the site in January 2018.  Since then, the online media outlet has attracted the biggest names in homeland security to write, collaborate, and lead challenging conversations around how to protect America. GTSC has grown readership to over 100,000 visitors per month to the site to follow news on the most important challenges facing America’s security.
