Acronis Acquires CyberLynx and Announces WEF Collaboration

Acronis has acquired CyberLynx, an Israel-based cybersecurity consultancy firm with a presence in the U.K., Switzerland, and Luxembourg.

The acquisition marks Acronis’ third in the past year, which continues the company’s accelerated growth plan to add new security and training services to its community of 50,000 IT channel partners. Acronis plans to consider additional acquisitions.

As a provider of security audits, penetration testing, and proprietary training solutions, CyberLynx has a global customer presence and strong connections with forensic suppliers.

Acronis will integrate CyberLynx’s services into its suite of Acronis Security Services, expanding the training and solutions available to increase an organization’s security posture. Drawing on CyberLynx’s expertise in threat simulation and analysis, Acronis can better assist managed service providers (MSPs) and managed security service providers (MSSPs) as they protect their clients and serve as the “last line of defense” against the latest threats.

Acronis recently announced that it is collaborating with the World Economic Forum (WEF) Center for Cybersecurity to address rising cybercrime around the globe. The center fosters international action to tackle cybersecurity challenges, convening key stakeholders from public and private sectors.

Under the terms of the WEF agreement, Acronis will engage in the Cyber-Risk and Corporate Governance project to help establish a baseline understanding of key cybersecurity issues, while providing guidance on strategies for security and cyber resiliency.
