DHS’s Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers have released their third-quarter training courses – some free of charge and some at cost.
The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) support law enforcement communities by providing training opportunities conducted on the FLETC campuses in Glynco, Ga.; Artesia, N.M.; Charleston, S.C., and Cheltenham, Md.
The third-quarter programs, which are hosted by departments or agencies and open to officers all over the country, include maritime tactical operations, active shooter threat training and covert electronic tracking.
Qualified attendees must be U.S. citizens who are employed as sworn law enforcement officers by a state, local or tribal government and authorized to attend this training in support of official duties, although some programs will allow Direct Law Enforcement Support Personnel (DLESP); see program prerequisites for specifics.
