Over the past two weeks, Guidehouse has appointed three new team members.
Dan Hushon will serve as Chief Technology Officer, directing the company’s investments in next generation cloud computing solutions.
Hushon brings extensive technology industry experience to this new role, delivering technology-differentiated solutions to private, public and international clients. With a passion for cultivating transparent, collaborative and innovative organizations, he has served in numerous executive roles across a multitude of technical and business disciplines and has always pushed for innovative strategies grounded in their ability to reshape companies, agencies, industries and markets. Most recently, he has worked as a technical advisor to investment and technology firms, with a focus on studying, delivering and leading the execution of strategies, to unlock platform effects in targeted businesses.
Hushon is on the Advisory Board of Digital Asset, and has been an active participant in World Economic Forum ICT and Forbes Technology Forum.
Guidehouse has also announced the appointment of Jamila Taylor as Chief Human Resources Officer, reporting to COO Charles Beard. In her role, Taylor will focus on human capital strategy, talent acquisition, performance management, leadership and cultural development, organizational design, and learning and development.
Taylor is an accomplished Global HR leader with more than 25 years of experience in both privately and publicly traded companies. Taylor joined Guidehouse in early 2019 to build the HR Operation functions (talent acquisition, HR technology, people analytics, payroll, and total rewards). Later that year, she was named Partner and lead of the newly Shared Services function. With a broad range of responsibilities at Guidehouse, a carve-out and highly complex organization, she has developed a deep expertise in identifying, evaluating and implementing human capital solutions and transformation projects as a business advisor to senior management and has a proven track record of building, leading and managing teams across the globe.
Taylor serves on Guidehouse’s ISO Audit Committee, Inclusion & Diversity Council and Compensation Committee providing management oversight for certain key functions including the Management Review and Leadership Commitment.
Rebekah Mena has joined the Guidehouse National Security team as a senior strategic communications consultant. Mena previously served as the Public Information Officer for the Executive Office of Mayor Marty Small, Sr. in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Prior to this, Mena served the nation’s capital as the Deputy Chief, Public Affairs for the District of Columbia Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency (HSEMA). As a member of HSEMA’s Office of Public Affairs, Mena oversaw the launch and executive of the agency’s podcast, HSEMA Off the Record, media relations, and the management of the agency’s social media channels during high-profile events and crises, such as the 59th Presidential Inauguration, Hurricanes Florence and Isaias, the Insurrection at the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, the Washington Nationals’ World Series Championship Parade, and first amendment demonstrations like the March for our Lives. Mena also served as the HSEMA Internship Coordinator, responsible for the onboarding and coaching of undergraduate and graduate interns entering in the fields of homeland security and emergency management.
