Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Andrew Ericson has joined the firm as a geospatial technology manager based in the Tampa, Florida, office.
Ericson joins the firm with more than seven years of experience. Most recently, he worked as a remote sensing specialist where he led survey operations as an on-site contractor lead for the Joint Airborne Lidar Bathymetry Technical Center of Expertise (JALBTCX) program. In his new role as geospatial technology manager, Ericson will lead Dewberry’s airborne lidar and imagery acquisition operations under program managers, provide flight planning for internal airborne remote sensing acquisition and project cost estimates, create acquisition reports, and coordinate and manage the tracking of all airborne acquisition activity and sensor installation and removal.
“As I step into this new role, I’m excited to bring my experience to Dewberry’s growing geospatial and technology services team,” says Ericson. Dewberry Senior Vice President Amar Nayegandhi, CP, CMS, GISP, adds, “Andrew’s background in leading remote sensing and data acquisition projects and flights is a great addition to our team. With our recent purchase of the CZMIL SuperNova Topobathy and Riegl VQ 1560 II-S topography sensors, it’s critical that we expand our team to support the lidar projects that are imperative to the mapping of topography over land and under water.”
Ericson earned a master’s degree in international affairs (2015) and a bachelor’s degree in history (2012) from Texas A&M University, and is a member of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.
