GovCIO, a Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe Company, to Acquire SoldierPoint Digital Health, LLC

GovCIO, a provider of technology solutions and services for the federal government, has announced it has agreed to acquire SoldierPoint Digital Health, LLC (“SoldierPoint”) from Iron Bow Technologies.

“We are excited to welcome SoldierPoint to GovCIO and further expand our mission supporting Veterans through our significant business with the Department of Veterans Affairs,” said Jim Brabston, GovCIO CEO.

GovCIO holds a franchise position at the Department of Veterans Affairs with key programs at the Veteran Benefits Administration and Office of Information and Technology. The acquisition of SoldierPoint marks a major expansion into the Veterans Health Administration (VHA).

SoldierPoint owns the Connected Care Integrated Network (CCIN) Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Following the acquisition, GovCIO will oversee the seven-year, $2 billion contract. The CCIN contract falls under VHA’s Office of Connected Care and this program helps over 4 million Veterans access healthcare through telehealth and connected care solutions. SoldierPoint’s nearly 300 employees will transition to GovCIO at closing and the company generates over $200 million in annual revenue.

GovCIO has spent more than a decade working together with the VA on a wide range of IT modernization programs focused on modernizing legacy systems and improving Veterans services and access to benefits. The company will utilize its previous experience on low code/no code programs and emerging AI technologies to further the mission of the CCIN contract in the VHA.

Kristin Gill, president of GovCIO’s Veteran and Enterprise Technology Solutions (VETS) sector, “This is an excellent opportunity to work directly with Veterans and help them receive top of the line healthcare remotely and we are looking forward to welcoming SoldierPoint’s team and working together with our new teammates to offer additional care solutions for our Veterans.”

The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
