GSA Targets Big Firms in Elimination of Non-Essential Contracts

In an internal memo from the General Services Administration (GSA), a copy of which was obtained by Homeland Security Today, Acting Administrator Stephen Ehikian directed the particular agency’s senior procurement executive to eliminate additional consulting contracts. Though this request had originally been made on February 6, with directions to “terminate all but those that are mission critical and provide substantive, imperative technical support, Ehikian states that “not enough action has been taken.”

Identifying 10 of the highest-paid consulting firms set to receive over $65 billion in fees in 2025 and beyond, Ehikian set a submission deadline of March 7 for a list of contracts to be terminated. For those contracts that the agency intends to maintain, a senior official must sign a statement verifying that the contract is mission critical and provides substantive technical support.

See below for the memo and full list of consulting firms to be reviewed.
