On Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019, Congresswoman Elaine Luria of the 2nd District of Virginia presented the US Department of Commerce Export Achievement Award to Morphix Technologies®, an innovator in the science of detection devices for dangerous chemicals, in honor of its export success.
“We thank you, Congresswoman Luria and the US Commercial Service, for recognizing our export capabilities, we are honored to receive this award. The U.S. Commercial Service, a U.S. Department of Commerce agency, was established to help U.S. companies, especially small and midsized companies like Morphix Technologies, market their goods and services to customers around the world. Exports are vital to long-term business success and Morphix would not have as many employees as we do if it were not for our export sales. In 2016, Morphix began working closely with the U.S. Commercial Service office in Richmond to actively pursue increasing exports in certain key markets in the Middle East and North Africa. Through our partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service offices in Virginia and overseas, Morphix has opened new distribution channels in six key markets in the developing world,” commented Kimberly Pricenski, vice president of sales and marketing for Morphix Technologies.
The US Department of Commerce Export Achievement Award was created to recognize small and medium-sized enterprises that have successfully entered the international marketplace for the first time or that have successfully entered a new market.
