MITRE Appoints Jerry Hogge Senior Vice President of MITRE Public Sector

MITRE announced Jerry Hogge as senior vice president of MITRE Public Sector, effective immediately. Hogge will be responsible for business strategy, international programs, and sponsor engagement with MITRE’s federally funded research and development centers for civilian agencies. These include the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service, and the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. Hogge will also lead growth opportunities with industry and academic partners and work with the Board of Trustees on business strategy and key initiatives.

“Building relationships—within a team, an organization, and with customers—is one of Jerry’s core capabilities and a key reason we are excited to welcome him to MITRE’s executive leadership team,” said Jason Providakes, MITRE president and CEO. “The work programs that Jerry will be leading with our experienced talent involve innovation to solve some of our nation’s toughest challenges in healthcare, transportation, cybersecurity, and homeland security.”

Along with a strong mission focus, Hogge brings an extensive record of leading complex IT programs with civilian and defense agencies, including the Department of Defense/VA multi-year integration of electronic health records. He has broad experience in business strategy, government relations, systems engineering, and intellectual property. Most recently, Hogge served as senior vice president and general manager of Military and Veterans Health Solutions at Leidos.

Hogge has held executive leadership roles at SAIC, QinetiQ, Unisys, Level 3, IDT Corporation, and Winstar Government Solutions. He also was a patent attorney at Birch, Stewart, Kolasch & Birch, LLP and spent 10 years at AT&T Government Solutions in network engineering and data solutions. Hogge has served on the boards of the Professional Services Council and the Virginia Tech Pamplin College of Business Center for Business Intelligence and Analytics. WashingtonExec has twice named Hogge to its “Executives to Watch” list.

Hogge holds a bachelor’s in electrical engineering and a master’s in industrial and systems engineering from Virginia Tech, and a law degree in intellectual property from George Mason University. He also holds a certificate in Financial Analysis and Valuation from Columbia Business School of Executive Education program.
