Anna Nagurney, the Eugene M. Isenberg Chair in Integrative Studies in the Isenberg School of Management, has been appointed to serve a five-year term as an expert on supply chains in the Science Advice and Guidance for Emergencies (SAGE) program, an Office of Enterprise Services, Administration and Support Division program with a direct link to the Chief Scientist Office in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
SAGE is a scientific information resource designed to aid DHS in mitigating, responding to, and recovering from large-scale national and regional emergency incidents, such as hurricanes, chemical spills, terrorist activity or pandemic diseases. SAGE accomplishes such tasks by providing scientific and technical data, context and recommendations when called upon by stakeholders. The information provided comes from a network of subject matter experts from government, academia and industry.
