Ashley Truluck has joined the House Committee on Homeland Security as a Professional Staff Member for the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection, according to an update on her LinkedIn yesterday.
Truluck most recently served as an External Affairs Specialist at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), where her team supported more than 575 leadership engagements over four years. Her team also developed best practices for preparing senior leadership for external engagements, processes that are now used across the agency.
Prior to CISA, Truluck held roles across DHS including Policy Advisor in the Office of Cyber, Infrastructure, and Resilience Policy, where she helped roll out key initiatives like the department’s Artificial Intelligence Strategy. She also served as Scheduler for the Acting Secretary during the national emergency at the southern border, coordinating interagency schedules during a time of crisis.
Truluck previously spent nearly four years in the U.S. House of Representatives as Director of Operations for Rep. David Schweikert. There, she built experience in strategic legislative engagement, constituent outreach, and internal communications—skills that will no doubt support her work in overseeing cybersecurity and infrastructure protection policies at the federal level.
Truluck holds a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, where she graduated with distinction, and dual bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and French from Santa Clara University.
