BDO USA, LLP, one of the nation’s leading professional services firms, today announced that Charles Wolverton has been admitted to the firm’s partnership. Mr. Wolverton will continue to lead the firm’s Public Sector practice, which he helped launch several years ago. The practice, which is based in McClean, provides guidance to the Federal Government sector on strategy, operational improvement, audit support, internal controls and financial management, data analysis, shared services, compliance reviews and program management support.

For a majority of the last 20 years, Mr. Wolverton has focused on advisory services for the public sector, working with senior government teams on plans that link strategy with performance measurement and budget. He has led pro-bono services to a variety of national law enforcement organizations, including the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and Museum, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives and the D.C. Police Foundation. He is an active member of the Government Technology and Services Coalition. Mr. Wolverton earned a B.A. from University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from Georgetown University.
