Brian S. Davis Joins TD as Head of Intelligence, Emerging Risk & Trends

Brian S. Davis has taken on a new role at TD as the Head of Intelligence, Emerging Risk & Trends. This announcement was recently made by Davis on LinkedIn, marking a significant step in his career.

Brian S. Davis is a seasoned and dynamic leader with an extensive track record of achievements in federal law enforcement. His most recent role was serving as the Director of the Cross-Border Financial Crime Center for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the primary investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Over his nine-year tenure in this position, Davis spearheaded numerous initiatives that tackled complex financial crimes spanning multiple jurisdictions.

Before his directorship at the Cross-Border Financial Crime Center, Davis worked in the Office of the Executive Associate Director, where he managed HSI’s Congressional Program and facilitated engagement with the United States Congress. His career in federal law enforcement began in 1999, and since then, he has held a variety of leadership roles within HSI.

Davis’s expertise is not confined to domestic operations. He has substantial international law enforcement experience, having served as the HSI Attaché in The Hague, Netherlands, where he oversaw agency operations at Europol. He also established and led the HSI office in Brussels, Belgium, acting as the agency’s representative to NATO and the European Union. In these roles, Davis managed complex operations targeting terrorist travel and financing, technology proliferation, intellectual property theft, transnational gangs, child exploitation, human trafficking, trade violations, international money laundering, and the smuggling of humans, weapons, bulk currency, narcotics, and other contraband.

In addition to his leadership roles, Davis worked as a Senior Special Agent for the U.S. Customs Service in Miami, Florida, and New York, conducting sophisticated investigations that significantly impacted national security.

Brian S. Davis has been recognized for his exemplary service with prestigious awards, including the “Department of State Meritorious Honor Award” and the “Department of Defense Joint Civilian Service Commendation Award.” These accolades underscore his contributions to strengthening homeland security and national defense.
