Bud Harrell Joins Oracle as Senior Director of Government Defense & Intelligence

Bud Harrell has joined Oracle as the Senior Director of Government Defense & Intelligence according to a post on LinkedIn, yesterday. This new role marks an important step for both Harrell and Oracle as the company expands its commitment to supporting federal defense and intelligence programs with cutting-edge cloud and data management solutions.

Harrell brings with him over 30 years of experience in business and technology transformation, with a strong focus on Fortune 500 clients, the Intelligence Community, and the Department of Defense. Known for his ability to deliver multi-million-dollar cloud solutions, Harrell has consistently provided strategic guidance to achieve mission-critical outcomes. His expertise in leading cross-functional teams, fostering innovation, and building robust stakeholder relationships has earned him a reputation for driving growth, improving operational efficiency, and exceeding client expectations.

Prior to joining Oracle, Harrell held senior roles in some of the tech industry’s leading companies. At Amazon Web Services (AWS), he served as Senior Enterprise Services Manager and previously as Senior Engagement Manager. His experience also includes a tenure as Director of Professional Services at SAP National Security Services (SAP NS2). Additionally, as a Senior Account Delivery Executive at Microsoft, Harrell managed critical relationships.

Harrell’s military career began in the United States Army’s Signal Corps, where he served as a Captain from 1989 to 1997 across both Active Duty and Reserves.

Harrell holds a B.A. in Government and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
