Casie Antalis has stepped into a new leadership role as Program Director of the Joint Cyber Coordination Group at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), marking the latest chapter in a career spent advancing the nation’s most critical security priorities. She announced the move last week, bringing with her more than two decades of experience across the intelligence and homeland security communities.
Antalis’ appointment follows her most recent service as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where she led efforts on counterterrorism, emerging threats, counter-UAS operations, and transportation and identity security. During her tenure, she helped shape national strategy on some of the most pressing security issues facing the country today, from transnational criminal networks to watchlisting policy.
She also previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Screening and Vetting and was Director of the same department before that, roles that positioned her at the heart of DHS’s efforts to secure the homeland through sophisticated risk assessment and vetting operations.
Prior to her time at DHS headquarters, Antalis served as Chief of Staff at U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s National Vetting Center, and before that, held a key national security position at the White House as Director for Security Screening and Vetting at the National Security Council. Her interagency credentials extend further back to senior posts at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the National Counterterrorism Center, where she was recognized for her contributions to counterterrorism targeting and screening efforts, particularly related to Europe and South Asia.
Antalis began her national security career as an analyst at the State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service and later at the National Ground Intelligence Center, where she focused on biometric analysis in support of threat assessments.
A graduate of the University of Maryland with degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice, Antalis is widely recognized for her leadership in vetting, intelligence, and threat mitigation. In 2024, she was named one of Homeland Security Today’s Trailblazers, honoring professionals breaking new ground in the security field.
