Concentric Appoints Michael LeFever as EVP of National Security

LeFever announced the news of his appointment as Executive Vice President of National Security at Concentric over on LinkedIn. Vice Admiral (Ret.) Mike LeFever, USN, brings over 45 years of public and private sector leadership experience in high-risk, complex security environments to this role. LeFever’s extensive background includes leading disaster relief and humanitarian efforts, full-spectrum warfare operations, and counterterrorism and counterinsurgency operations. His proven ability to build high-performance teams has been instrumental in protecting national security and driving private sector growth.

Vice Admiral LeFever is a 1976 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He also holds a Master of Science in Systems Technology, Command, Control, and Communications from the Naval Postgraduate School. Throughout his career as a surface warfare officer, LeFever served on several ships, including the USS Truett (FF 1095), USS Arthur W. Radford (DD 968), USS Taurus (PHM 3), and USS Nicholson (DD 982). His command positions included the USS John Rodgers (DD 983) and Destroyer Squadron 21.

LeFever’s shore assignments were equally prestigious, with roles at Navy Personnel Command (PERS 41), Joint Staff, U.S. Atlantic Fleet, and as a senior fellow at the Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group. His first flag officer assignment was as Deputy Director of the Expeditionary Warfare Division. In October 2004, he took command of the Expeditionary Strike Group One and the Tarawa/13th Marine Expeditionary Unit Strike Group. He was also assigned as the Commander of the Disaster Assistance Center in Pakistan, coordinating the U.S. military response to Pakistan’s 2005 earthquake. Later, he served as Director of Manpower, Personnel, Training, and Education Policy Division (N13) and as the Commander of the Office of the Defense Representative to Pakistan. LeFever’s last assignment was as Deputy Director for Strategic Operational Planning at the National Counterterrorism Center.

LeFever’s personal decorations are numerous and include the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (five awards), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), and Joint Service Achievement Award. He has also been honored with the “Hilal-i-Quaid-i-Azam” (Order of Great Leader) and “Sitara-i-Eisaar” (Star of Sacrifice) from the President of Pakistan, along with various service campaign and unit decorations.

Before joining Concentric, LeFever was the Chief Executive Officer for five years. He also served as the Chief Operating Officer for IOMAXIS, a U.S. technology company specializing in cyber, communications, and computing solutions and services. Additionally, LeFever is a member of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition’s National Security Council (NSAC) and the Executive Chairman of Illuminate.
