Erik Rolf Joins Booz Allen Hamilton as Business Information Security Officer for the Commercial Sector

Booz Allen Hamilton has appointed Erik Rolf as its new Business Information Security Officer (BISO) for the Commercial Sector.

Rolf expressed his enthusiasm for the new role in a LinkedIn post, stating, “I’m super excited to be working with our incredibly talented Cyber and Commercial Sector teams to defend and enable society’s most critical industries and companies.” His background aligns seamlessly with Booz Allen’s mission to safeguard clients from evolving cyber threats.

With a solid track record in cybersecurity, Rolf has held leadership roles in several high-profile organizations, most recently at Capital One, where he served as Director of Cyber Architecture and Cyber Tech. In that position, he led a team focused on Network Security, Cloud Platform Security, Endpoint Security, and Cryptographic Services. His responsibilities included defining and implementing comprehensive security architectures and developing robust endpoint security strategies across the company’s cyber and tech divisions. Rolf’s work involved partnering with C-suite executives to establish a user-centered endpoint security strategy and leading multi-million-dollar security projects, including a major SIEM acquisition and deployment.

Rolf also has extensive experience in cloud security from his tenure as Master Cloud Solutions Architect at ShorePoint Inc., where he advised on cloud strategies and security requirements. Additionally, he served as Senior Director of Global Cyber Architecture and Engineering at Discovery Communications, contributing to the company’s global cybersecurity operations.
