Glen Maylone Joins DHS in Deputy Assistant Secretary Role

Glen Maylone has been appointed as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), adding to his extensive career in public service and acquisition leadership. Maylone previously served as Director of Acquisition at DHS’s Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office, where he oversaw critical initiatives aimed at enhancing national security. He also held roles as Deputy Executive Director of the DHS Joint Requirements Council (JRC) and Senior Component Lead at DHS.

Maylone brings a wealth of experience in managing complex acquisition programs and developing requirements across various DHS components. His leadership in the CWMD and JRC has helped shape the department’s strategy for dealing with emerging threats.

With a background in management and communications from Concordia University-Wisconsin, Maylone is well-equipped to take on this high-level leadership position at DHS, contributing to its ongoing efforts in national security and defense.
