Jeremy Mishler has been appointed as General Dynamics Information Technology’s (GDIT) new Director of Homeland Security Strategy. He announced the news on LinkedIn, marking the latest step in a career spanning public service and private sector leadership in homeland security and cybersecurity.
Mishler’s prior role at GDIT was as Director of Business Development (Cybersecurity), where he focused on advancing cybersecurity solutions for federal agencies. Before joining GDIT, Mishler spent over 15 years in public service, holding senior leadership roles at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its component agencies.
His public sector experience includes serving as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs at DHS and Director of the Office of Legislative Affairs at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). Mishler also worked at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for 10 years in various roles, including Senior Advisor for Legislative Relations (Appropriations) and Congressional Liaison Specialist.
Mishler earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from the University of Northern Iowa.
