Mike Kushin Joins BlackSea Technologies Board of Directors

BlackSea Technologies (“BlackSea”) has announced the appointment of Mike Kushin to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Kushin has over 30 years of highly specialized experience delivering capabilities to the Defense Department and Intelligence Community in three core areas, including cybersecurity, electronic warfare, and space solutions.

Mr. Kushin is currently the President of Defense and Intelligence (D&I) at Parsons Corporation, a $2B business unit delivering exquisite technology and mission support to US Defense and Intelligence organizations, along with international partners. Mr. Kushin joined Parsons through the acquisition of BlackHorse Solutions, where he was a co-founder, President and CEO. Mr. Kushin led substantial growth at BlackHorse, in 2 years going from a $6M organization focused on training and readiness to a $75M+ business offering cybersecurity, electronic warfare, and information operations solutions and products to a wide variety of Defense and Intelligence customers. Mr. Kushin led the sale of BlackHorse in July 2021 to the Parsons Corporation, achieving 26.2x TTM multiple on EBITDA, 4.1x ROIC, and a 70% IRR.

Previously, Mike Kushin served as Executive Vice President and Business Group Manager at CACI International Inc, and was Senior Vice President and CTO at ManTech International.

He has participated in several Councils including the Commission for Review of FBI Security Programs (Webster Commission) and the Information Sharing Council (ISC) that promoted the sharing of terrorism related information across Federal, State, and Local agencies. Mr. Kushin was one of three partners at Integrated Data Systems (IDS) prior to its acquisition by ManTech Corp. in 2003. Mr. Kushin currently serves on the Board of Greymatter.io and is an Advisory Board member for Missionlink.NEXT, and supports various charitable foundations.
