K2, Inc. has announced the promotion of Monica Chung to the role of Quality Systems Specialist. In this new capacity, Monica will play a key role in supporting K2’s Security Screening Group and the multi-million dollar Radiation Portal Monitor Program (RPMP). Her promotion reflects her outstanding contributions and dedication to maintaining high standards in quality assurance and process management.
As Quality Systems Specialist, Monica will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing systems, policies, and procedures to ensure that K2’s products and deliverables meet the rigorous standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Additionally, she will work closely with team leaders and members to ensure the consistent application of quality assurance measures across all projects, ensuring compliance and maintaining the company’s reputation for excellence.
Previously, Monica distinguished herself as the RPMP Administrative Assistant. Before joining K2, she was the store manager at Lululemon’s Bethesda Row location, where she focused on improving systems and identifying solutions to maximize the engagement and performance of her employees.
Monica brings over 12 years of experience in customer service and business administration, giving her a strong foundation in both client relations and project management. Her ability to handle multiple high-value projects simultaneously, combined with her keen understanding of business strategy, has been instrumental in her career progression. Monica’s new role will enable her to apply these skills to ensure K2’s products meet the highest quality standards in the industry.
Monica holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Marketing from The Universities at Shady Grove, with a minor in Business Law. Her educational background, coupled with her vast experience, has made her a valuable asset to K2, and she is well-positioned to contribute to the company’s continued success in her new role.
