Pamela Richardson Walker has been named Vice President of Government Affairs and Policy at Kyndryl, the IT infrastructure services company that spun off from IBM in 2021.
Walker announced the move on LinkedIn, noting she will focus on shaping policies that advance innovation, strengthen partnerships, and support digital resilience, responsible AI adoption, and secure infrastructure.
She brings more than 15 years of federal government affairs experience to the role, with a career spanning major technology companies and leading industry associations. Most recently, Walker served as Senior Director of U.S. Government Affairs and Deputy Head of SAP’s Washington office, where she helped guide policy engagement on cloud, cybersecurity, and IT procurement.
Before SAP, Walker held senior leadership positions at VMware, including Head of U.S. Federal Government Relations. She also worked at Splunk as a Senior Policy Analyst, developing positions on AI, data privacy, and big data analytics.
Earlier in her career, Walker spent several years at the Information Technology Industry Council, TechAmerica, and the National Association of State Chief Information Officers, where she gained extensive experience in public sector procurement policy and coalition building. She began her government affairs career with roles at the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators and Congressional Quarterly.
Walker holds both a master’s degree in international transactions and a bachelor’s degree in international studies from George Mason University.
