SMPL-C Welcomes Former DHS CISO Kenneth Bible to Board of Advisors

SMPL-C™, a leading company in Cybersecurity Compliance with a specialization in the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework, proudly announced that Kenneth “Ken” Bible, the recently retired Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has joined its board of advisors. This strategic move is expected to significantly bolster SMPL-C™’s efforts in driving innovation and growth, particularly in the realm of cybersecurity compliance.

Ken Bible is a highly respected figure in the cybersecurity industry, known for his deep expertise and visionary approach to emerging threats, particularly those targeting critical infrastructure. His distinguished career spans numerous leadership roles, including his recent position as the CISO at DHS. Before this, Bible served in key positions within the Department of Defense, including as the Chief Information Officer & Deputy Director of Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) for the U.S. Marine Corps, Chief Technology Officer for the U.S. Marine Corps, and various pivotal roles within the U.S. Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Command (SPAWAR).

Expressing his enthusiasm about joining the SMPL-C™ board, Bible stated, “I’m pleased to join the advisory board for SMPL-C as they change the dialog around compliance with cybersecurity standards such as NIST 800-171, particularly as the Department of Defense rolls out its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). CMMC lays down a mandate for organizations to document their adherence to cybersecurity requirements before being eligible for a DoD contract award. While compliance does not equal security, helping businesses—especially small businesses—understand and manage their cybersecurity posture is always a worthy goal. SMPL-C’s approach of integrating Artificial Intelligence to guide and simplify the gap assessment, evidence collection processes, and audit readiness levels the playing field. Beyond CMMC, I see tremendous potential in this AI integration as a ‘force multiplier’ for small companies as they build and execute ongoing cybersecurity programs.”

Srikant Rachakonda, CEO of SMPL-C™, echoed the excitement, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Ken to our board of advisors. Ken’s extraordinary background in technology and cybersecurity, combined with our cutting-edge solutions, creates a powerful synergy. His insights and guidance will be invaluable as we continue to innovate and expand our reach in addressing the critical needs of our customers.”
