Susan Engley Joins Thoughtworks to Lead Homeland and Public Safety Sector

Susan Engley has joined Thoughtworks to lead the company’s Homeland and Public Safety sector, bringing more than 25 years of experience working at the intersection of government missions, technology, and growth strategy.

Engley comes to Thoughtworks after leading her own consulting practice, GovGrowth, where she advised small businesses on sustainable growth strategies in the federal market. She is also the co-founder of Sault Enterprise, a Native American, woman-owned small business focused on delivering modern, customer-centered technology solutions to government clients. As she steps into her new role, Engley will place GovGrowth on the back burner.

Her background includes senior growth and business development roles across firms serving government and public safety customers. Prior to founding GovGrowth, Engley served as vice president of growth and strategy at Groundswell and as a business development director at Accenture Federal Services. Earlier in her career, she spent nearly a decade at LexisNexis, where she led federal sales teams supporting law enforcement, public safety, and Department of Defense customers.

Engley has also held roles in federal account management and marketing at companies including Juniper Networks, XO Communications, and MicroStrategy, building a career centered on connecting advanced technology with government operational needs.
