AlphaSix is looking for a Business Development Leader to support National Security and/or Federal Financial IT business development opportunities and contracts. This role will be responsible for driving customer growth through technology expertise and demonstrated results.

Clearance Requirement: Must be a US citizen.
Location: Hybrid. Must be able to work onsite as needed in Sterling, Virginia.

Roles & Responsibilities
As a key member of the team, you will take on the challenges of a self-directed, senior role in shaping the business development activities of the company:
• Establish, build upon, and maintain highly effective relationships with the Government executives, Program Managers, contract management offices and industry partners to drive business growth.
• Apply critical thinking and tenacity to identify and pursue solutions that solve customer pain points.
• Collaborate with technical, business and marketing SMEs to develop and execute effective strategic solutions for new and existing customers.
• Lead the team to identify, capture and close new business aligned to AlphaSix’s goals.
• Ensure close coordination of all customer-related communications and activities, including meetings and conference calls.
• Define and manage the sales pipeline including Shipley-based opportunity funnel, prospect tracking, and sales dashboard.
• Provide sales pipeline updates and forecasts based on market trend impact to the business development team and others as necessary.
• Lead account-based planning and capture activities including annual plans supported by networking, research, and analysis to make strategic and informed decisions and assess viability of upcoming opportunities.
• Effectively present information to prospects, strategic business partners, executives, public groups, and/or boards of directors/investors.

Qualifications & Education
• At least ten (10) years of business development and federal sales experience.
• Demonstrated, mature, multi-year partnerships and year-over-year new business growth.
• Deep knowledge of the challenges and imperatives facing the Federal Civilian domain.
• Experience in collaborative, creative, solution-oriented design and implementation consistent with AlphaSix’s capabilities.
• Experience working with business leaders to create and implement account growth strategies and plans.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a work-related field.
• Ability to pass and maintain a government background check.
