Overview:

PotomacWave is seeking two Government and Industry Affairs (GIA) Support Specialists to join our team in Crystal City, VA! The GIA team:

Oversees strategic outreach to existing stakeholders while developing and maintaining relationships with Federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and industry communities;

Analyzes relevant data to identify new stakeholders and facilities that require outreach in order to ensure Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standard (CFATS) compliance; 

Coordinates future opportunities for stakeholder engagement based on analysis of Field Operations Branch (FOB) data and metrics;

Maintains awareness of specific community interests and concerns in order to inform the Division's strategic engagement activities;

Facilitates information sharing between stakeholders and the Division through listening sessions;

Manages access to the CFATS SharePoint site.

Qualifications:

Candidate will need three (3) years' experience working in public policy, public affairs, communications, event management, or related fields in an office environment

4-year BA or BS Degree from an accredited university

Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Coordinate multiple activities where input is required from multiple groups and organizations and perform GIA functions such as identifying and engaging stakeholders, writing White Papers, maintaining a White Paper publication schedule, supporting small and large-scale events, while working on a cross-functional team.

Strong familiarity with complete MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

Business user capability in the use of MS SharePoint

Clearance Requirements

Candidate must be a US citizen

Existing DHS EOD Suitability a plus
