Maximus is seeking a skilled IaC DevOps Lead to support vital systems in the defense of our Homeland. In this role, you will focus on enhancing efficiency by implementing cutting-edge deployment pipelines and fostering collaboration between technical teams and enterprise stakeholders. With a strong background in IT service management and a passion for driving continuous improvement, you’ll play a key role in advancing our delivery processes while aligning them with organizational goals and industry best practices.

This position is on-site, five days a week and requires an active secret clearance.

Project-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead architecture and engineering efforts to plan, analyze, design, test, and deploy infrastructure expressed as code.
  • Establish, mature, standardize, and maintain DevSecOps processes within the organization by leveraging automation tools and applications including services available in agency’s Cloud environments.
  • Architect and engineer CI/CD pipelines for development teams and manage configuration of tools and plugins in support of release engineering processes in a SAFe/Agile environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of success leading IT services in large enterprise setting as well as critical skills in developing partnerships, modeling behaviors, and developing team capabilities.
  • Partner with the enterprise stakeholders, IT support organization and development teams to chart a service delivery roadmap, manage deliverables, SLAs and SLOs.

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in IT Services delivery field
  • A High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Active Secret clearance is required.
  • Due to federal requirements, only US Citizens can be considered. Candidates with dual citizenship cannot be considered.
  • This is an on-site position at a government facility.
  • Requires presence on-site five days per week.
  • Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to Annapolis Junction, MD.
  • Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is required.

Must possess the following:

  • 3 years of cloud architect level experience with AWS, Azure and/or GCP
  • 3 years of experience working in an Agile delivery environment
  • 2 years of experience building and releasing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) in a controlled environment with an understanding of full lifecycle configuration management
  • 3 years of experience in automation scripting using one or more of the following languages: Java, Perl, Ruby, or Python
  • 2 years of experience developing coding/scripting to build required automation and tools using Chef, Ruby, YAML, JSON, Python, Bash, Azure CLI, PowerShell, Java, etc.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, SVN, GitHub, GitLab, Chef, Ansible, Art factory, Remedy, SonarQube, Fortify, Selenium
  • Effective presentation skills with an ability to make technology concepts accessible to colleagues outside of technology
