Position Description:

The Project Administrator / Junior Project Manager will work directly with the Program Manager and Project Managers to execute the daily management functions across a large federal government contract consisting of multiple project teams. Responsibilities include the following:

Assist management with task tracking

Assist management assigning work items to staff and following up on work items to ensure completion

Assist management with resource coordination

Assist management in identifying project risks and project coordination gaps

Track training activities for team members to ensure deadlines are met

Create and collaborate with others on project status reports

Monitor project progress and escalate potential issues to management

Measure and report on project performance

Coordinate quality controls to ensure deliverables meet requirements

Perform peer reviews on project artifacts

Complete data calls and find/retrieve information

Update project calendars

Schedule, organize, and facilitate meetings

Organize meeting agendas

Record meeting minutes, decisions made, and action items

Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding of personnel

Review and approve timesheets

Create PowerPoint presentations

Required Skills:

BS or BA degree in IT or business related major

0-2 years of experience in a project administration or project management role on IT projects

Ability to take initiative, anticipate needs, listen comprehensively, and look for opportunities to improve

Strong organization skills

Strong time-management skills
Proactive and self-motivated
Strong written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with a large team
Creative thinking to improve current processes

Desirable Skills

Experience using SharePoint

Active government public trust clearance

Experience working on IT systems development projects
