Overview:

PotomacWave is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our growing leadership team located in Washington D.C.  The ideal candidate will have current experience leading projects, managing schedules, providing training, interacting with the customer, and supervising a small team.

Responsibilities:

Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities;

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;

Develops and manages project plans and schedules;

Directly contributes to program efforts in several areas, including risk management, performance management, program management, requirements analysis, and quality assurance activities;

Ensures proper performance of tasks necessary to ensure the most efficient and effective execution of the projects;

Employs expert communication skills needed to direct the resources and report on the progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review documents associated with project management;

Ability to facilitate meetings with the client to extract information, perform root cause analysis, and recommend solutions;

Develops tools and templates related to project management;

Ability to document As-Is and recommend To-Be processes for the customer;

Analyzes current processes, standard operating procedures, and multiple reporting mechanisms and recommend improvements, efficiencies, and best practices approaches. 

Qualifications:

Strong interpersonal, leadership and presentation skills for interacting with and influencing team members, clients, thought leaders, and globally recognized subject matter experts;

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

Strong organization skills to balance and prioritize work;

Strong human relations skills to select, develop, mentor, discipline and reward employees;

Good strategic management and planning skills;

Ability to publicly represent the company with internal and external clients;

Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment;

Proven ability to develop performance metrics;

Experience in a PMO office;

Knowledge of Project schedules and Process improvement;

7-10 years of related Business experience.
